The season runs from April until October or November, depending on the weather, and the gorge is closed in winter. The busiest hours are late morning, so an early or late slot suits you better if you want fewer people on the walkway. July and August are the busier months.
The walk through the gorge
A one-way route with a separate way back.
The path through the gorge runs in one direction. You walk the wooden walkways along the Radovna and over the bridges, with the water close below. The return does not use the gorge. The theme trail called King of Triglav leads back outside the gorge and is 4.1 km long, which makes the full route 5.7 km.
You do not need a car for the gorge. The shuttle is part of the pass and also runs from Bled bus station, and the official car park is included if you drive. More on routes and parking is on the getting there page.
The shuttle and the walk to the start come on top of the 45 minutes in the gorge itself, so keep the full 3 hours in mind when you set your time slot.
